GUTMAG is a collaborative art magazine made through improvisation, exchange, and chance. For the second issue, we expanded our process into two parts: an open call for submissions followed by an in-person making day at the Manhattan studio of artist Mikel Glass.
Working around the theme of "Doubles," contributors explored pairs, reflections, and repetition through writing, collage, photography, and drawing. Pages passed between hands and evolved through collaboration before being shaped by designers into a publication that blurs the line between documentation and design.
